On 17th of November 2021, project coordinator Jaka Primorac, PhD, presented the platEU project to students of the Department of Cultural Studies at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka. The project was presented as a part of the visiting lecture for the ‘Cultural Policy’ module (held by associate professor Vjeran Pavlaković, PhD).
Visiting lecture entitled ‘What, where and for Whom? Cultural Policies in the EU Context’ dealt with the principle of subsidiarity, different aspects of transversal issues important for cultural sector, and with the concept of policy transfer, which is important for understanding the influence of policies for online platforms and their impact on the cultural and audiovisual sectors. Dr Primorac presented the main goals of the project, its’ activities, and announced future events that will be organized as a part of the project among which is a round table that will be held in Rijeka in spring 2022 in cooperation with the NGO ‘Drugo more’/’The Other Sea’.
